Phantom directories in Thunderbird

Resolving the thunderbird phantom folder issue (gray, italics folders …Phantom directories in Thunderbird.

STOP Thunderbird
In the maildir, delete the subscriptions folder.
For example: I have a problem with folder test.
Go (via FTP) to that folder and delete the subsription file.
In your profile on your own PC delete the phantom folders and the msf file ( if you can see them)

Restart Thunderbird.
